Special note of thanks to the Roy Pitz Brewing Company for the delicious performance enhancing liquid refreshments that greeted the finishers and precipitated what is now the second appearance of Pedro the Drunk Finish Chute Guy “WHOOOOOO”.  Props to a hearty porter on a dreary day. Makes the world go round, it does….

Results are posted!

Well, that was…..(insert adjective here).  BIG ROUGHNECK RESPECT to the almost 250 hardcores who showed up, despite the nasty forecast, to brave the new and improved Maximus.  There were a number of other options out there for you to choose from, but why settle for JV when the first team call-up beckons, right?

Thanks to everyone for coming out for a great, wet, muddy race.  We had a great turnout even though the weather was not on our side.  Thanks to our sponsors Trek Bikes, Ergon, Roaring Springs, Specialized, Gettysburg Bluegrass, Gettysburg Bicycle and Fitness, Cytosport, Hammer, and Park Tool.  The race could not have happened without all the volunteers too.  Results and pictures will be posted within the next few days.  Thanks to all and we will see you July 19th for the Curse of Dark Hollow!

There is still room to register.  There will be registration available on Saturday from 5-8, and Sunday morning from 7-9:30.  The race is happening rain or shine.  Bring our rain gear because it looks like its going to be a wet one again.

If you are willing and able to volunteer for race day we could use help under the tent for registration and then to help run the finish.  You could also be out on the course at an aid station or marshalling a road crossing.  Interested?  Email the shop and let us know what you can help out with.  Food, beer, and swag on offer……
